I have crushed oyster shells mixed in my substrate. I also use calcium sand. Looking back, using calcium sand wasn't the best idea, because it's so expensive, but it works! I assume my crabs also get some calcium from the exoskeletons on the shrimp I feed them. I will occasionally put cuttle bone in my crabitat, but my crabs have never seemed to take a liking to it. I also have the cutest calcium chew toys that my crabs seem to love. You can see claw marks all over them!

cuttle bone (they don't seem to care about), eggshells (they prefer to break themselves), ground oyster shells, fresh foods (broccoli, etc) and several of the kibbles I have bought from the Hermit Crab Patch have it added as well.
