Re: Switching Tanks
Thanks all! I downloaded Tapatalk, so pictures are a breeze now. I'll stay away from Google drive on here
poor guy was back in the shell shop last night like he was looking for his old shell. He's a sweetie. He's been an outgoing crab and a fun one to watch for the last couple years in the tat. After I've permanently moved out this summer (I'm getting married!), should I look into splitting my colony and finding him a species buddy since he's the only E in a tank of PPs?

I don't think you need to split the colony but definitely finding him a species buddy would be beneficial for all of them. Also, if not already done, E's require bit higher temp and humidity compared to PP's - u can check the stickies on this forum for species infosabrinamae12 wrote:Thanks all! I brought my hermit crabs to my college with me and whenever we had room checks I dumped all my laundry over the tank so it just looked like I was a slob

Thanks, Kermie! I've got the temp up and working on the humidity. I'll start looking for a buddy!Kermie16 wrote:I don't think you need to split the colony but definitely finding him a species buddy would be beneficial for all of them. That's so funny! I was lucky and lived in a house owned by the university. Because of the home-like setting, I got to know the RAs really well and we got away with a lot more than a typical dorm would have. My housemates loved watching my crabs and fish. Just a hassle to move them back and forth, but I loved having them!Kaleighshermies wrote:I brought my hermit crabs to my college with me and whenever we had room checks I dumped all my laundry over the tank so it just looked like I was a slob
