How to heat plastic tub

Post by hermitcrab24 » Sun Mar 05, 2017 4:26 pm

I have recently switched my hermit crabs to one of those RubberMaid plastic tubs. I bought a new heater since my old one is getting worn out and doesn't stick anymore. But the new heater says not to use on plastic. I'm not sure how to keep my tank warm. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Bonnie

I don't recall anyone having an issue with flat heating pads (fluker's or ultratherms) affixed to the side of plastic totes.

Ok, then I'll go ahead and use it. I just wanted to make sure it was safe. Thank you!

I used a zoomed on my plastic tote when I was raising isopods with no problems. I think it just says that so that they are not held liable for issues if they were to occur.
