Which side goes against the tank? I thought the side with the copper strips but now I'm not sure?

I put the flatter side... I can see the copper stripes through the back of the tank, and the tag

I only skimmed over this thread so forgive me if this has been mentioned, along with the risk of mold in a high humidity tank there's also the risk of flooding.

Well I'm not sure what you mean by this, I have not had any problems

I have not had issues either, but over a long period of time excess water will eventually build up and potentially cause a flood. I have read of others experiences, however I've had my current tank setup for about 7 months with consistently high humidity and so far no issues either but really don't know without digging, or having a false bottom.
Just thought I'd chime in to make people aware the threat of a flood is possible especially if there is excess over-spray from bubblers, etc.

Yes you definitely made me aware. I had no idea.

You can get regulator valves for the bubblers to prevent over-spray... You can control air flow with these valves. Make sense??

Am i reading this right? Forgive me if I misunderstood...humidity can indeed be too high..too high and the crabs are "drowning" too low and its like an asthma attack....with the exception of Straws it should be 75ish range.
Mold in a tank is not good....algae is ok

This is inaccurate. 100% humidity would be raining. It rains often where crabs are from and they fully submerge in water. Humidity is high in the regions they're from in the wild.

Actually incorrect. 80% is the minimum. There is no limit to humidity. Hermit crabs have modified gills which make it able for them to "breath" air, but they do t breath in the way you and me do.
