Great job! Do you have any pesticide and fertilizer free oak or maple trees near that you could pluck some branches from? They would love to climb! Also make sure they don't spray for mosquitos in your area. If not, long pieces of cholla works too- you can get those off of eBay

I have a huge piece of mopani drift wood soaking but I will be adding that shortly! They love climbing the little vine so I can't wait to see how the respond to itGotButterflies wrote:Great job! That's great - it's just the branches are free- and are a great treat/snack and add variety of height. I never soak my stuff. If purchased from pet store I toss in. If branches - I freeze, then put in the tank.

Newbie here, why does everyone put the moss in a shower caddy up high? Is it purely for humidity?

Yeah I have a pile of moss in the corner for them to hide in. And I keep the moss to where it'll be humid.Bmoyer wrote:Newbie here, why does everyone put the moss in a shower caddy up high? Is it purely for humidity?

For me it's about surface space. If you attach it high up than the space below can be utilized.Bmoyer wrote:Newbie here, why does everyone put the moss in a shower caddy up high? Is it purely for humidity?

I place my moss directly on the substrate. - I definitely go through more moss that way though.
