This is where you discuss the conditions of your crabitat -- temperature, humidity, substrate, decorating, etc.

It's been awhile! But I have had an interesting situation arise.... Today I came home to find a mushroom growing in the crabitat!
It was near the food bowl and the only cause I can think of is food that is decomposing in the sand, but I'm no expert on fungus. I was wondering how I should treat this situation? Should I deep clean and replace the substrate? I'm just not sure...

It looks like a seed sprout! I don't think it's harmful or indicative of a problem. I think it's a sign of an ecosystem

Do you have isopods in your tank? They would eat the left overs and prevent pop ups.

Weird. I can see it..
However. Mould/fungi growth is normal. In a low airflow high humid enviroment. Its more dangerous for us rather than thr crabbies. I wouldn't worry too much

I'm in the process of getting them. Hopefully that process should speed up soon. So you're saying it looks as if a seed I gave the crabs sprouted? That could be a possibility...

Ohh okay. It just concerned me when I saw it, if any more pop up I'll just pull it out like I did that one. Thanks!

That's what I think it is, I could be wrong. Either way, it shouldn't hurt your crabs so no need to worry!

Aparently users with Apple products are having trouble seeing it, where Samsung users are seeing it.

What if they were planning on eating that later, but now you've ruined their plans to party? No tripping for the crabbies tonight
