Ultratherm uth's

So, I just received my ultratherm uth, and for some reason I couldn't find the place in the instructions about which side goes against the tank. There's the side with two copper strips, and one side that is completely black. I know that a lot of you have uth's, and this is my first one, so I'm interested to see how it works. Thanks in advance! :)

Where the cord is attached, one side is flat and the other side is bubbled/rounded. The flat side goes against the tank.... On my UTH, the copper strips are away from the tank and the solid black side is facing the tank. Hope that helps!
