substrate mixes- what sand?

Post by quinnn12 » Thu Feb 11, 2021 12:41 pm

Hello!
I am mixing bricks of coco fiber (zoo med brand) with sand for their substrate, and I have seen people talking about play sand but I'm not sure what kind i should get to mix with the coco fiber. Do yall have any suggestions for a good brand, or does it not matter what brand I get as long as it says play sand?

I have also been wondering that same thing. I want to increase how deep my substrate is.
My three purple pinchers: Coconut- Male, medium. Mango- Female, medium. Blueberry- Female, small.

I'm not lazy- I'm just highly motivated to do nothing. ;)

Pretty much any 'play sand' is good. Some people do prefer one brand over the other....but my closest Home Depot only had this kind:
