125g heating

Post by blackberry75 » Sat Sep 18, 2021 8:07 pm

Scored a 125 with stand tonight, yay! I just have to figure out how to heat it (impulse buy much? Lol). What size uth do yins use? Is there one that's big enough or will it take multiple?

I promise I searched the forum but my google-fu is weak.

Is this a 6 foot or 4 foot tank?

I've tried other brand heat mats/pads, but have found ultratherms to be the best. If this tank is a 6 footer, I'd maybe go with two Ultratherm 11"x35" side by side and a thermostat controller.
Two 29gals. 3 PPs in each.
~200gal of fish tanks. Mostly planted community tanks.
Multiple kiddos, doggies and kitties.

It's a 6ft by 21 by 18. I'll look for those 11x35 you suggested. Thanks

Consider heat tape, its a UTH that you cut to size. You can get them pre-wired, or do it yourself if you're good around electrics.
