hanging bridge?

So I'm working on designing my crabitat (starting with a 10gal, will upgrade eventually) and want to maximize the space, especially vertically. I'm thinking of having a cholla wood 'ladder' up to a moss pit, and then some sort of hanging bridge connecting the moss pit to greenery on the other side of the tank.

What have you all used for something like that? All the reptile things I've found have been potentially made of toxic wood. I'm trying to go with a more natural theme overall, and wouldn't mind DIY options if they're simple.

What wood have the reptile things been made of that you are concerned about?

They didn't specify; just said 'real natural wood', but the pictures (looking online) look like pine to me.

Even if they are made of pine, it will be dried, so it will be safe. It is the 'fumes' from the sap of pine trees that isn't safe in an enclosed area like a tank. I would say that items made for reptile enclosures will be safe for crabs.

I've made bridges in the past by hanging some hemp between four suction cups. Unfortunately, my crabs loved hanging off the suction cups so it kept falling down. But, otherwise, it worked well.

Bamboo has worked great in my crabitat for ladders I go and cut it down myself because it is invasive in my area. It dries out quickly and it’s easy to cut and split using simple tools.
