People think crabs are cheap pets, but getting them initially setup can cost a bit, so I totally understand.
As long as a crab didn't surface molt, there is no need to isolate him from the others. If they dug down, and came back up, their exo should be all hardened and ready to go.

Okay, sounds good. And yeah, it is wild how many misconceptions there are about hermit crabs. I remember googling the level of care required before purchasing our first crab and it said something along the lines of, "not much higher maintenance required than a fish". But don't get me wrong, I do not regret it!

Yeah, I plug and unplug as needed. It works for me, but not for everyone! LOL!
