Using Live Moss

Post by 4crabmom » Sun Dec 01, 2024 12:43 pm

I’ve had hermit crabs for 10 years, and I’m always looking for a way to give them more enrichment in their crabitat. I want to use live moss on top of the substrate in just a corner of the ‘tat. Will this cause any problems for them?

Yes using live moss is okay. You can put it in a small basket to make a moss pit, which the crabs love! Here is the caresheet to make sure you have safe moss:

I love my two cool crabs Zote and Fizban.
And my cats Echo and Smudge.
