Plexiglass dividers for hospital tank?With blueprint pics!

I have a home depot, and ace hardware about 10 minutes from me, and i was thinking about gettinng 2 plexi glass rectangles and fitting them to my 10 gallon tank to make a 3 section iso tank for my molters/ sick crabs.

i would have a hinged plexi glass door to seal each section so the crabs wont get out and get into neighboring isos.(will have holes)

would this be a good idea?

if not please explain why.

You'd have to make sure the plexiglass reaches the top to bottom entirely..

but if it was a sick crab / a disease, couldn't it affect the neighboring ISO?

The way i would seal it off, is i would get the same material they use to keep the sides of the actual tank together and seal the sides and the bottom from both sides.

then i woudl get this rubber tube( idk what its called)
Cut a ridge in the middle of it and wedge the ridge onto the top of the dividers, and around the sides. then apply it to the lid that has holes in it.

so when i put the lid on, it will sort of suction/wedge in securly because the rubber is squishy.

im sure it will work, but ill most likely have a separate tank for sick crabs. i dont want backteria/mold/mites getting on molters. that woudld be bad.

so technically this would just be for molters.
