Coral from Hawaii

Post by jonchames » Thu Aug 12, 2010 9:45 pm

I have some coral a friend just brought me back from the shores of Hawaii and was just curious if it was ok to put that in the tank? I feel no reason it shouldn't be but just to be safe.

Thanks for all the continual help and answers on my resent posts guys!

Definitely ok to put in.

I would try to check any soft-tissue matter that would rot and try to clean it out if possible. I would probably boil and dry before using in the same manner as snail shells. Of course, prior to boiling I would try to see if there are not any teeny "hitchikers" on it as well (ex. bugs, flies, mini-crabs?)
