Moving 75 gal, need help throwing ideas around

Tanks weigh too much to lift with sand~ especially that big! When I had my 46 gallon awhile ago, I could just barely budge it when I was switching tanks.

Thank you! The tank has pretty thick plant cover so you don't see them much when they're out, so I went with high contrast shiny shells so that they pop when you see them! Best part about hermit crabs is that you get to pick their outfits out without having to dress them!

That's a good idea, but like mentioned the tank would probably cracked if at one moment a section of it wasn't supported. It weighs like 100lbs total when empty, and it has 400lbs of sand in it, so the bottom might shatter if you try to get the glass to support the sand without distributing the weigh.
And the "Stand" is cinderblocks and plywood made into cubbyholes, so the stand's not even glued together! My mother has already asked if we can make the stand more aesthetically pleasing with some spraypaint while the crabs are out, considering they're a living room fixture.

The tub inside a tub idea might work really well! I'll use sphagnum moss as "padding" in the container, I know they're build for it but its so sad when they fall and I hear the shells clank!

Another thought that popped up, when I'm adding new sub should I leave the first 50gal bucket or two of the sand significant drier than the rest of the sub? Theoretically I could avoid flooding as the sand's not yet saturated with water, and waters going to seep to the bottom as I add more layers anyway. And I don't think the crabs are good enough to dig down 14 inches in a day or two so it shouldn't affect them.
