Mine are strawberry hermits (coenobita perlatus). They seem pretty active! Coming right up daws.

Pic 1:
Ok so i don't know how your tank rim is... mine has the center brace! Thus, if i want a tight fitting lid I have to get two desperate glass pieces to sit down into on each side of the brace.

Pic 2:
Where the hole cut outs are he is going to adhere the can lights too the glass and I'll put the uvb bulb in the can lights. No need to worry about heat as uvb bulbs don't put off heat

Neat! Thanks for the pics. Yes, I have center braces in all my tanks. I have screen tops with the 90g but they're homemade. I posted pics a while back but will do so again so you can see... I may steal your idea and do something similar bit it'll be screen cuts instead of glass cuts. And it'll be the front part cause my hood lights sit at back part. (lights are my heat)... In my 120g (the bamboo trimmed tank), I can just hang it from inside the top.
