HCA: Hermit Crab Association

How many bags of play sand would I need for a 40gal tank? Figuring in of course ee. I have 3 smallish I guess, crabs.

I just upgraded to a 40 gallon and it took about one and a half 50 pound bags of play sand mixed with an 8 quart bag of eco earth to make 6 inches. It took a lot of mixing, but works well so far.

Lol. I bought 4 bags. I didn't know how much I needed. I can return what I don't use.
