So my daughter named the black/white one Sebastian. From Little Mermaid. And the candy shell striped one Mr. Crabs.
raising son's dog, Dante. Husky/hound.
Raising daughter's hermit crabs, Shelder, Paras and Derek. Added 2 more of my own (of course) Pete and Stryper. Former mommy to 2 guinea pigs and beloved cat, Nissi

I got the hamster wheel today and set it up. Who knows how long it will take the crabs to figure it out. Lol. And I moved one camera from the other tank to this one for now.

Looks great! And don’t worry, once they find the wheel you’ll probably find at least one in there at any given time lol

I know. There are 2-3 crabs on the wheel in my other tank. :banana:

By heat tape, what are you referring to? Ultratherms, or Reflectix tape?

It's all done. Crabs are in. I'm confused about the heat tape. I think someone else mentioned it but I'm not using any, at least not now. Just an Ultratherm on the back.

Oh my word...I didn't realize that there were three pages to this thread!!! I only saw the first one!! Sorry!! It looks amazing!!! I love how tiny your babies are!!! :)

Sadly Sebastian didn't make it. He was staying in the same spot hiding since day one. I did move him once closer to the food (I know, hands off) but he immediately went back. Hadn't moved again for couple of days. I have a camera in there so I know if they're moving at night. I checked this morning on both. Mr. Crabs, which I was most worried about since he was so pale, moved around after I peeked at him. But Sebastian didn't return to his spot and smells like death. Not fishy, but something died under your house smell. I put him back in just in case. But I think he's gone.
