This is what I ended up with.







I noticed the substrate was pretty wet. I haven't deep cleaned in well over a year and my EE had really broken down. I uncovered some really nice caves, though and assumed all was well.
Until the next week...
I found puddles actually lying on top of my substrate. Digging down even an inch was totally saturated. I guess I had just reached a critical level with my high humidity and substrate that wouldn't absorb any longer. I bought 3 bricks of EE and a bag of loose EE and finally got it back under control. What a disaster. I pulled everything out and gave them a quick boil and time to thoroughly dry out.

This is what we sadly look like today. You can see the bricks that have almost totally expanded from the water. And I'd like to point out, I *don't* spray and I have ventilation and fresh air pumped into the tank.
Tomorrow I'm going to rebuild. I just wanted to share this because the flooding happened so fast!
