Light bulbs ....?

Hi... I'm back with a new post! In my previous post I complained about humidity being too low.. Yesterday I went to get air pumps and tubes and air stones.. And it helped !!!!

Tank is now on temp 81 and humidity 99!

Thank you guys!

Now here's the thing.. Since I don't really need the heat lamp for heat (UTH works good)
I was wondering if I can add regular light bulb to the heat lamp? To provide light.. ? Is "household" kind of bulb harmful to them? Does it bring too much heat?

I just want to make sure I'm all set before I go get them soon .. Not sure exactly when yet.

***update**~

I got four hermit crabs ....

They were all in painted shells :(

One changed shells right away! The other three hid behind the hemp net.. I noticed one might've went down.. And the other one is digging right next to where one could have gone down..isn't that going to cause problems ?

They seem to be doing okay so far .. I couldn't take pics of all of them yet .. But I will def post pictures of one that was climbing and changed shells.. Later on when they are ready I will post pics of them :)

Congrats on the new crabbies! :) Boo at painted shells, but I'm sure they'll settle in & switch soon. I'm a pretty new owner myself, but I'm pretty sure that regular light bulbs are just fine to give them light. I had one in my clamp lamp to give my guys lighting, and I just switched to one of the curly CFL bulbs since they use less energy & doesn't give off much heat. Either should be fine for you - I doubt a regular bulb would heat your tank up too much so as to be a concern.
