Can you put a real bonsai tree in with the hermits? Or, will they destroy it?

I have the fake ones from petsmart ( one large and one medium). Major hits in my tank. Shy Guy will climb all way to top and hang upside down to sleep.

Well, technically anything is bonsai if it's small and grown in a pot. Depending on the species - as I know that some Bonsai are from the pine family - then I would say yes, just thoroughly research the species in mind. (I normally go by reptile safe = crab safe)
