safe real plants????

This is where you discuss the conditions of your crabitat -- temperature, humidity, substrate, decorating, etc.

safe real plants????

Post by mrs.mr.hayner » Sun Jan 15, 2017 3:07 pm

is there any safe plants that can be used in a crab tat? I'm awaiting a custom made BIG tank . I'd like to put real plants in it.

Yep! Many that are reptile safe I regard as crabby safe. The important thing is not to go out and purchase $$$ of plants. They will be destroyed.
THis list here, is what other crabs have tried and been somewhat successful - aka: crabs alive and crabs killed the plant. :D

Aloe is also on the safe food list. I have put an Aloe plant in one of my crabitats. They have munched on it, and climbed on it, but it is still alive. I have owned it for a very long time...we owned it at our old house 20 years ago, and it sprouts many babies. Remember, no fertilizers or pesticides :)
Truly blessed to have incredible creatures, wonderful friends and my amazing family in my life!! I'm very thankful & grateful for all of them! www.thehealthyhermit.com
