Sand Consistency Problem

Post by HeyItsEggs » Mon Feb 13, 2017 3:05 pm

Hello!
I bought some play sand a couple weeks ago and most of you were praising how it kept the sand castle consistency. But it is failing to do so. When I spray, A TON of water just the top layer of sand gets that consistency. The bottom is all dry! Can anyone tell me how to fix it?
Thanks

Did you get it wet before adding it to the tank?

Well it's easier to get it to sand castle consistency of you get it wet before putting it in the tank. It's also easier to keep it at sand castle consistency of you mix it at a 5-1 ratio with eco earth. It will help boost humidity as well.

You need to mix it with marine salt water until it is sandcastle consistency first. If you are able to mix it with it with eco earth that will help keep it moist thereafter
