Pretty happy - there was a sale at my local hippy dispensary, so I got some fancy leaf litter ingredients:

I now have enough pollen that I will never ever run out. Which is good, as my crabs seem to really like it.

Also managed to find an English oak with leaves still on it that should be okay to harvest... one has to be careful harvesting in a city at this time of year. Salt melter can be sprayed quite a distance by cars on slushy days, and onto trees that are close to roads. But I found a good tree at the top of a ravine, well away from the road.

I'll know to harvest more oak leaves this fall.

I wish I had some vendor like that where I live. I'm almost out of my oak and maples leaves.

The leaves I just foraged - I took them off oaks that hold onto their leaves over the winter. Don't know if you get burr oak & black oak where you are, but they're good examples.

The other stuff you can probably order online - I look at what assorted US crab shops offer, then find local sources. Shipping crab food to Canada isn't economically sane.... and my neighbours will put me in the stocks if they catch me cutting the hEads off their flowers.

(I think the Crab Street Journal's shopping page had stuff like this, fyi)
