heat lamp

im planning on switching to a heat pad, but my hermit crab's lamp just went out and i need something to heat the tat.. i can't find anything to help on Google.. any tips???

You would probably want an Ultratherm. Many many members including myself are quite fond of theirs, and choose them over other brands. You can only buy them online and the best places are either http://www.reptilebasics.com/ultratherm-heat-pads (cheaper) or https://beanfarm.com/ (more sizes.) They are also available on Amazon, but are more expensive than the other two links.

In the meantime you can warm up towels & blankets in the dryer without dryer sheets, and drape them around the crabitat. This is only going to help temporarily though...

In a pinch i heated 2 bricks in an oven for about 40 min, wrapped them in a blanket and put under a snake tank when my electricity went out once. Worked pretty well. Thank god for good neighbors.
She thought she could, so she did!
