Growing roots

So i scattered a bunch of flax seeds around my tank in prep for Mexico vacation. The seeds sprouted and the roots are growing straight down to the bottom of the tank. Will this be a problem if a crab decides to molt while I am gone?

Assuming they usually tear plants up I wouldn't think it would be a huge deal. The roots will take a while to mature, I think the crabs could easily dig in the substrate.

Ok. I was just concerned cause they are growing straight towards the bottom and are halfway there already.

My sub is about 8 inches. I do not think i have any molters down but they dig so much sometimes I lose track.

I'd bet you'll be fine. Maybe if it's growing all over the tank or really dense yank up a bunch, but if it's patchy? Crabs can dig around stuff.

Cool. Just wanted to be sure. I think the crabs digging is already killing it anyway.
