Ive been thinking that i would like to move the tank to another spot in my house that they could be seen by everyone... so i was wondering, where are your set ups throughout your homes?

Ideally where i would like to go myself, but we usually have late company on the weekends a lot of times, and the dining room table is what we end up around. Im afraid of the noise factor or even light cycles on those particular late evenings. Am i over thinking?

Being in a cold climate, I have to put them on inside walls...so that limits me a bit. But I've always put mine in the living room.

mine is in the living room. city living only afford us 4 rooms and these guys are up ALL NIGHT LONG. So, they got the best spot in the house. We designed the living room around the tat. they are in a corner to give them some visual relief from us on one side but we get to peer in from the front & left.

Dining room, there's a corner I found that perfectly fits a tank with a base measurement of 30 1/4" by 12 1/2".

We have company too and we are usually around the table playing games etc. It depends how late your friends stay. Ours usually leaves my 10 or 11, so I think it's perfectly fine. If it was all night long on a frequent basis, that might stress them out.

All of mine (125G, 120G, & 29G) are in my bedroom against inside walls except for the 90G. The 90G (just an empty tank now) sits on a wall partition that's between the living room and kitchen.

Bedroom. On top of a dresser was the only unused space in the house big enough for a tank of some kind. Added bonus for that location - all the cords go behind the dresser, so the cats can't chew on them and the kids can't trip on them or mess with them.
Still figuring out where to stage the folded kids laundry before it goes back in their drawers, since the tank took that spot. In a perfect world, we'd put it away as soon as it's folded, but...

Gameroom. It's a place where everything is, and we spent tons of time in there. I always enjoy watching my crabs, but they really aren't active in the day, opposed to the night.

Dining room for me too! There's a cabinet that sits in there that fits my 20gal long perfectly!

Mine are in my daughters playroom. It's perfect for us, she can watch them crabbin around while she's playing, but they don't bother anyone. They used to bug her at night when they were in her bedroom, making too much noise. We have an alcove downstairs in the family room that would be perfect but my husband won't let me
It's just as well, we live in a split level and it's much cooler downstairs (family room) than it is where the tank is (upstairs)

Is it a built in? I was just examining the same idea in my dining room, its extra quiet in that cubby, insulates the sound, and it wont get bumped into, just, lighting would be rather tricky tho i think!

The cabinet? It's not built in. But it sits like a glove against a wall that's off to one side!
