I saw this product on amazon, 75% off. I have had my crabitat for 1 year 4 months. The substrate is a blend of playground sand and eco earth. There are some low spots I was thinking of filling in. Opinions about this product would be appreciated. It has mostly very good reviews, but a few very bad ones.

That is one of the only sands marketed specifically to hermit crabs that is safe. $2.50 isn't a bad price especially if you have prime and free shipping. Amazon would actually loose money on this one due to how much shipping is.
Just keep in mind this is a 6 pound bag. Since you are only filling low spots it may be enough. You can also go to a home improvement store and buy a 50 pound bag of playsand for under $5.

Great thank you! Do you recommend mixing it into the substrate or just adding on top to the low areas?

If you are just filling in low spots you can add one inch a day in those low spots. Doing that will reduce the risk of collapsing tunnels and caves.
Your crabs will mix in substrate over time. It will be less of a risk for molter's too.
