How much substrate to purchase for 20 gallon long tank?

I’ve been considering upgrading my 10 gallon to a 20 gallon long, and was wondering how much substrate I needed. I’m planning on having about 6 inches of substrate.(higher/lower in places for variety)
I was thinking of purchasing a bag of 20 kg play sand (about 44 pounds) and a brick of eco earth. Is this enough to fill a 20 gallon long tank to 6 inches?
On a side note, would it be a bad idea to reuse the eco earth that is currently in my 10 gallon? By the time I set up the 20 gallon, the substrate will be around 3 months old.
