Having that open part and a heat lamp could easily be the reason you’re losing humidity. but heat lamps will definitely drain humidity UTH are usually a better option for that reason and especially having the keep part of the tank uncovered to use a heat lamp will drain humidity

How did you make one? Custom glass exo terra lids are very expensive to buy and I don’t have that much money to spend on a lid.

They say to get one as big as the back of the tank above the sub line. I did that with 2 of the 35x6 heat strips from BeanFarm. I have a 40g breeder (36x18x18) and also have one on the side of my tank so they have a warm corner. Unsure of the size and brand you have, but if it’s worth it to you, you could always add more heat pads that way. Just some ideas! I hope you get it all figured out!
