So I got me a 40 gal breeder tank yesterday and a few more things to add to it. How do I sanitize everything???

Congrats on the upgrade! You should wash out the tank with a 8:1 water to bleach ratio. Afterwards just make sure there is absolutely no bleach leftover! The wood SHOULD be fine, but to be extra sure you can bake it in the oven (look up correct temps and time). Other accessories can be rinsed off in dechlorinated water. Sorry if I missed something! Good luck!

I also use a bleach mix on things that are a little grungy. It looks like your tank is brand new, so if you just want to use some water and vinegar and rinse, that would work too. Congrats on the upgrade!!

Bleach would likely be overkill. Vinegar and water would be enough and totally safe, don't even need to rinse it after. Anything plastic, I usually also swish around in vinegar and water. As for the wood, you would likely be best off to soak it or boil it in some salt water (can use plain food grade salt, don't need to use Instant Ocean) then let it dry - to help prevent mold.

Looks great! You have an adorable crabbiness there! I also LOVE the hamster saucer and the craft mesh in the water! I can’t resist some nice craft mesh water lol
(May I also give an idea? I don’t want to come off lecturing or anything, it’s genuinely just a suggestion that I personally would like but that you might not, which would be totally understandable)

Ok cool so my idea was basically.. how to word this lol.. Mix up the middle section I guess? So the cabbies could have a third consistency to choose from

Well she started digging around last night and all day today and I now realize it's no where near deep enough. It's a 40 gal breeder and I've got a good 8in+ in there now but in the straight ee when she digs to the bottom her shell is only like MAYBE 2 inches below the lowest sub line...so I'll probably end up mixing some of the ee in with the new bag of sand I'm gonna have to put in there!

Yeah she's massive. I already put 1 ¹/² bags of San in there a a bag of ee plus ³/⁴ of a brick of ee
