Hello. I plan to add more enrichment items to our crabitat. I have some of the coconut fiber background. I could not get it to stick with the tabs provided so I ended using hot glue and I still had to use some tape to hold it down. Any tips on getting this to stick? I also avoid placing anything in front of the glass where the heat pads are placed but I’d really like to make more use of that side. Will the coconut fiber or anything else…hanging plants/vines hideouts, or shell shops block the heat and possible reduce temperature/humidity?
Thanks!
Nadia

Re: Set up questions
Anything in front of the heat mat will block heat, but on the other hand they can also create pockets of heat behind them if there’s space for a crab to get in. Depends on what sort of aesthetic you’re going for but generally most objects can be used safely.
Coconut backgrounds are a hassle, though
