Duct Tape For Attaching Topper?

Post by hermilove » Sat Apr 09, 2022 6:25 pm

I need to connect a topper tank between two tanks and it looks like people use black gorilla tape. When doing so, is it also applied to the interior connection points?

As if it were inside could they possibly eat/shred it and get to the adhesive. So would it be unsafe?

I don't have a topper on my tank, but would think that any tape should go on the outside. I know that some people use really strong velcro, altho the only velcro I know is the sewing type LOL.

Thanks! I got some replies on the Facebook page and I ended up using both. I did adhesive backed Velcro between the tanks and an outer layer of black gorilla duct tape. Currently in progress but had to go to bed so pardon all the tape and wood blocks! Currently keeping them from escaping Image
