Temperature and humidity question

Post by Kinah19 » Thu Oct 06, 2022 1:28 pm

Hey guys. What is the ideal temperature and humidity for a crabitat? My temperature stays between 70-75 and my humidity stays between 72-85. Is that okay? Also can the humidity be 90 and higher and can the temperature be low as 68?

From the Care sheet section viewtopic.php?f=120&t=119273

"Purple Pincher hermit crabs need to be kept between 75 and 85 degrees. Exotic species such as Ecuadorians need higher temperatures of 80 to 85 degrees"

As for humidity, even 100% is going to be fine for them.. although it will cause alot more mold so WE don't particularly want that :)
The care guys says no lower than 70% but as high as 80% is preferred.

Room temperatures down to 72 are safe for hermit crabs. Anything in the 60s is when the danger zone starts.
