Hi, i’ve been wondering for ages why my pothos won’t grow in my crab’s tank and just remembered that I mixed saltwater in the soil to prevent bacterial blooms! Poor thing must have chapped roots!
There are plenty of halophyte plants available online for use it sea-side or beach gardens that have salty soil, kind of like where hermit crabs live in the wild.
Does anyone know anything about what halophyte plants to avoid?

Halophyte plants?
Re: Halophyte plants?
Idk much about plants but seeing as no one has replied yet, I hope you don't mind me suggesting skimming viewtopic.php?f=39&t=120839 ? It includes good plant list and a plants to avoid list, so perhaps you can skim through those and check for halophytes if you haven't alreadyDa_Stos208 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 27, 2023 5:28 pmHi, i’ve been wondering for ages why my pothos won’t grow in my crab’s tank and just remembered that I mixed saltwater in the soil to prevent bacterial blooms!
