Hermit Crab Heating Pad Failing
Hermit Crab Heating Pad Failing
I have one of the ZooMed Hermit Crab Heating Pads and before it was maintaining the temperate well but now my tank is barely in the 60-65 range. I heard there’s other variations of a heating pad or even a heating lamp but i’m not sure what’s best for a 15 gallon tank.

BeanFarm has UltraTherm UTHs, they can also be safely insulated.

Reptile Basics also sells Ultratherm uths. That's where I've bought all of mine. They work great too. Get the biggest one you can for your tank. I like mine to cover the whole back, and above the substrate level. (If it goes below the sub level that's ok, you just might have your sand drying out quicker there). I also use a thermostat I bought on Amazon to regulate the temperature. You'll need duct tape to tape the Ultratherm to the tank. I use the 3M no residue duct tape. I've had to remove uths weeks/months later, and the tape really doesn't leave any residue.
