good temporary home??
Hi all,
This weekend my friends and I are taking a trip a couple of towns over to do some shopping. We will be in very close proximity to a Petco that carries Strawberries, and I am dying to get a couple to add to my little clan, Icarus needs a species buddy.
My tat is currently at home, which is 3 hours away from my college. I will be home in about a week, so if I were to get the Straws, I would need to house them for about 5 or 6 days.
I dont want to spend a ton of money on something I will only be using for a couple days. What kind of set-up could I use to keep them happy for a few days until I could get them home to my tat next week?

Re: good temporary home??
When we have moved, we've used the larger Rubbermaid/Ziploc containers with a small number of holes punched in and filled with our excess/extra moss. Sprayed until it just starts to drip. Keeps the humidity well and gives them some degree of hidey.jen723 wrote: My tat is currently at home, which is 3 hours away from my college. We've never kept them in it more than two days, but I usually leave the moss in there a while after we move and when I've gone to pull some out later ( often much ) it's still rather damp. If you're worried, bring a mister bottle and top it off.
I'd also bring a thin towel to keep things dark.

Thanks for the advice. I did end up getting a couple strawberries. They are in a medium sized KK with forest bedding and a small hide (made out of a disposable bowl) and of course food and water. They have a small UTH on one side and I taped plastic over the lid of the KK, leaving some holes for airflow. I just took the lid off to change their food and it seems to be nice and warm and humid in there so I think I'm good to go!
Both babies are dug down and seem pretty comfy.
