Hello. I have been looking for something to clean my glass in my tanks. Well thanks to an ant infestation I found that WHITE VINEGAR yes and it works great. I have went out and bought a bottle just for it. Also I use it on my windows with newspaper and man so they look great. It doesn't hurt your crabbies or any other tank pet. You just can't use it in a fish tank, which I know you all know that.

other than dish soap, and laundry soap. white vinegar is about the only cleaning product i own. there's a spray bottle of 50/50 vinegar and water in every bathroom and one in the kitchen. never am with out 2 full bottles for the laundry. i still would make sure you rinse well in the crab tank. that, and microfibre clothes i can't do with out.

I love white vinegar! It's the most awesome cleaner ever! Put a mixture of 1/3 c. vinegar and 1 c. water in the microwave for 5 mins, and all the gunk stuck on the inside just wipes off! My husband hates the smell, but that's his problem.

Lemon juice works great as well. I rub down the glass with lemon slices and then rinse with warm water, it usually gets rid of the water stains very well. And it smells nice

I use vinegar for all animal tank/supply cleaning, it was great for cleaning the gerbils' tank and I like that I know it's safe for them and me.

My wife once cleaned a floor with vinegar and I couldn't get within 10 feet of the room for 2 months because of the overwhelmingly pungent smell of vinegar.
Is it some kind of guy thing, that we can't stand the smell of vinegar? I don't understand how people can pour it on their subs either. And some Chinese restaurants put too much vinegar in their sauces and then I can't eat them.
Never thought about white vinegar

I like to just wipe with the vinegar every now and then...I get condensation so I usually wipe it out 3-4 time a day :roll:

haha --- we do vinegar treatments for our hair, if it gets oily: and my daughter says that she "smells like a salad" however she puts up with it, because it really does work. :^^ its also great for your face if your face breaks out too :}}
Ive been using vinegar on the glass so far.. lemon sounds nice too...
