UTH on bottom or side?

Post by Guest » Fri May 29, 2009 11:10 pm

My tank can't seem to hold heat at ALL. I'm wondering if sticking it to the side would work better? I know it probably wont stick as well but it rarely holds the proper temperature so i'm willing to try anything.

its supposed to be better on the side, having it on the bottom can overheat molters. i have two on the side and the crabs will all pile up next to them when it gets chilly, its pretty cute. they only heat the area directly near them though, if you need the whole tank temp raised, you should try a better light or a way to hold it in or something. some of those silver crinkly survival blankets saved my life this winter :) they help hold the heat in very well.
