I put everyone in that I had positively identified and had a current picture of for my log. The others need an updated picture. There are about 4 I have to identify. Yay log! I am trying to keep my mind off of Hera...it is really rather difficult.

Re: I don't understand.
Everyone is in now except Iris...I gave her the shell she thought was worth killing over. When she changes she'll go into the tank. I will of course put the one she is in now into the tank. If she goes after Eros I don't know what I'd do. Suggestions please, she had never been violent before this.
I also gave her Atlas' old shell. She had worn it awhile before. She was positioning it to change when the baby woke up and I had to nurse her back to sleep.

Re: I don't understand.
I fell asleep against my will tonight. Pure exhaustion. I just woke up and checked on Iris. She is in Atlas' old shell. I put her directly in my fw pool under the filter. After she seemed to enjoy the waterfall for a bit she came out and just sat at the top of the ramp to dry. She should be fine. Athena is the next that needs a shell change. She could barely hold herself up in the shell she is in. Lol she went for the penthouse when she really couldn't afford it.
Everyone is officially in tank. The molters are in a separate iso in the main tank. Once Hera is no longer in the real iso tank I may move them over there. It just depends. I think this is best.
I'm going to sleep now. 5 hours of sleep over the course of 3 days. Omg I'm tired.

It is so snug I would have to break it to pull up a side. I thought it would be crab proof. Dang itlwodesorel wrote:They can tear right through the canvas, weedblock and zip ties without effort. I'd be a little surprised if they could rip through the egg crate, but a bored crab can do amazing things. I also think that they would be strong enough to leverage up a side of the egg crate, even with substrate on top.
Oh God, she isn't a new baby. Lol! I have been forced by my Drs to let my daughter nurse until she self weans because of my seizure medication. If I don't let her do it on her own she will have bad seizures while withdrawing which could lead to a lifetime of them. She turned 2 Dec 8. When your child can tell you "have boob?" It is very ...almost disturbing. She is still my baby.soilentgringa wrote:You need sleep, omg, all that AND nursing a new baby. What kind of superhuman are you???!!!

You flatter me. Lol I also am a kindergarten teacher basically. My oldest daughter is in k12 academy school which is public school done online with a parent teaching it just like the teacher would through textbooks and everything. One on one attention to give the child a better chance at success. Hardcore learning. People say that there aren't enough hours in the day. Lol I say sleep is for the weak. Lol would it surprise you to know that in 6 more weeks I will have a master's degree in business? If I don't keep moving I don't know what to do with myself.kornchaser wrote: Hardcore mom, handling seizures and tons of crabs in a HUGE tank and a kid O.M.G!

Re: I don't understand.
I know how that feels. When you lose momentum it's hard to know how to proceed. I'm a single parent and homeschool my 8 year old son, who was diagnosed with ADHD, ODD, and other "non-specified" mood disorders. His issues have been severe enough to cause inpatient hospitalization more than once. It is very admirable for anyone to pursue higher education while raising children no matter if they're single, in a partnership, or have a lot of familial support because anything and everything can happen when you have kids!KellyCrabbieLove wrote: You flatter me. I have found that homeschooling is harder on me than my daughter. Do you feel the same way? Inpatient care seems pretty severe. I'm sorry you are being faced with such struggles. He'll appreciate what you went with to help him grow up right when he is older.I know how that feels. When you lose momentum it's hard to know how to proceed. Re: I don't understand.
He just breezes through most of the lessons for his grade level, but he dislikes writing quite a bit. He doesn't want to do journals or follow prompts. He is also pretty literal in some ways. He answered the question: "What did you learn from Caden's Day?" (name of passage for inference lesson) with: "Nothing" because he felt like the story didn't teach him anything. It's hard because he is so interested in Chemistry, Physics, and History that I worry about him learning more advanced stuff without having a good base or foundation. He hates being bored. He loves to read and learn though so I am lucky there.KellyCrabbieLove wrote: I have found that homeschooling is harder on me than my daughter. Do you feel the same way? That is awesome. My daughter is doing so great in everything except in phonics. She is making my brain melt/explode most days teaching her that subject.

I'm about to redo my dual 60gal and install false bottom on side. Was it just the crabs lifted the side?? Any tips for my first false bottom?
