I've dug up a crab by mistake. Need help

I am an amateur crabber. And crab in question has most recently came up from a successful molt. But the following day he has buried himself up again. Having not realized I thought it was ok to start moving stuff around and cleaning up. But I have unearthed him. Doesn't seem to be molting again just tight in his shell
