Another Naked Crab
I had another post where I found one of my crabs naked and it ended up passing away. I have another crab fairly small that has seemed pale for a while after coming up from a molt. I thought maybe I wasn’t feeding enough calcium or preotein so I’ve been feeding egg shells cuttle bone and shrimp for a while along with vegetables and my normal crab food. I thought she was doing better then today i found her naked in the coconut hut. I isoed. Placed some food including eggshells, nuts, shrimps, and isopod dirt i guess you can say. I’m very scared to reshell because she is so small and Im dealing too much so I put a wide range of shells in the iso including her old shell. Right now, she is eating, but hasn’t taken a look at the other shells. I made all the changes that were recommended to me last time. I just dont know!

Another Naked Crab
Update: he reshelled himself. Should I continue to iso and maybe mist? The iso is inside of my main tank using a little petco tote

Upate: i’ve been spraying every 30min or so for the last hour. She is moving around in iso with the shell, so I hope she is getting stronger. I’m going to put some peanut butter in the iso for her

Re: Another Naked Crab
Id still iso to observe her condition abd ensure thats she stays in the shell for a while. As long as the humidity is up, no need to spray the ISO once shelled

My humidity is pretty great I was so nervous about her being dehydrated. I can hear her moving around every now and then. I kind of hope the darkness causes her to molt (she’s
Been fairly active the last month or so though she was pale) maybe a good molt is what she needs. Hoping for the best

I reintroduced her to the tank today after 48 hours in iso. She still seems kind of weak, but has more color than previously. She still kinda stretches herself out of the shell, not naked but I can see her back when she does it. I placed peanut butter in front of her and she retracted back into her shell

I hope she does better, and gets well.
Just keep a good watch, and monitor the humidity, and temperature like aussieJJdude advised.
