Well,i'm not entirely sure why he did a surface molt ,But the other guy is molting underground right now so i think i can just put him in the tank cause he will be alone,i'll leave the exo skeleton in the food bowl for a few days....
I see, and I think bringing him back to the main tank is a good idea so that he will have substrate to dig down in if he wants to.

That's a good thing, it means he has energy. Good recovery, and all that! Honey and Peanut Butter if you can for a week or two.

Never bury a crab. They make caves underground with air surrounding them. Burying a crab back under does not give them that air pocket. Instead cover them with something like a hide and keep it dark for them to finish up what they need to do. :)
#1 rule of crabbing - crabs are weird.

Potentially, yes, he can suffocate. It's never good to rebury them since you're not able to make a cave for them. I would uncover him ASAP and use a hide of some sort to cover him, like Kelly suggested.

Just curious why you are digging them up before they are finished molting? Are they close to the surface?

Glad the first guy made it!
