Yep, sounds like a typical dominance display to me. It's pretty normal, especially for new crabs that are still establishing who's boss. Most of the time it ends just like you described with one crab walking away. The time to worry is if a crab is pinching causing injury or looks like they're trying to pull the other from it's shell. Shoving, flicking, antennae "fights", standing over another crab (without trying to get into their shell), raised claws/legs are displays of dominance. Keep an eye on the situation though. If it escalates to true aggression, intervene.

Alright thanks guys. My attention has turned back to my Ecuadorian crab. She doesn't seem to have moved and looks like she has completely fallen out of her shell. She doesn't seem to be doing the same slight twitch she was doing before and it doesn't look like she has any sign of an exo. When I moved the bottle and hut she's under I smelled a fishy smell. Is there still a possibility she's molting or is she gone?

Is what your seeing the crab or just her exo? If she pulled a surface molt, she could be tucked way up in her shell and what you're seeing hanging out of her shell is exo. The death smell is a very unmistakable rotten fish smell. There is a smell that can come with molting but it's usually described as more chemical-like. There have been one or two crabbers that noticed a bad fishy smell with recently molted crabs (that were alive and well) though. I would wait it out until your sure.

Well it turned out she was no longer with us. I decided that the crabs would be better suited in a home with people who could better control the temp and humidity and who had the resources to do so. I miss my little crabs but I couldn't give them what they needed.

I'm sorry you had to go through that. Pardon me for asking (I'm confused). Did you give the crabs away?

I forgot to add this to my question. Did you give the crabs away already or are you planning on giving them away?
