Yep! The idea is to give him no other option but to put a shell back on. If he refuses to after a few hours, you may need to put him into a shell and try to force him to wear it. Any chance you can get to a craft store and get him a few more options? He may be really uncomfortable in the two shells that he has available.

I agree with wodesorel. JoAnns usually has bagsof shells for cheap. Now not all of them are going to be usable but at least you would give him more options, and they usually always have some green turbos. Michaels is a good one to try as well. If that is going to take a while for you to do I would manually shell him first (if he wont take one in a couple of hours), then leave him in the small ISO you first put him in incase he decides to streak while you are gone, then go to the store.

Yeah if it has been 12 hours I would reshell him ASAP, the longer they are without a shell the weaker they become. After that give him a deep dish of salt water to soak in and some healing food like Honey.

They have both reshelled, yay . Creature seems fine . The new one I rescued that was having problems has not moved while in a shell yet, but did reshell on her own, yay ! Thank you for asking I appreciate it . ♡
