Just thought I'd let you guys know that he didn't make it. I found him this morning curled up naked (again) in his water and he was gone.

It's the first crab I've lost since I started this... I'm sad but I knew, deep down, that he wouldn't make it. He just wouldn't keep a shell on and that's pretty much a death sentence. Hope the little guy is in a better place!

So sorry for your loss . Try getting a few snail shells for your crabs nice light ones. I had a crab that was the same as the problem you were having. I could not keep his butt in a shell at all and I had tried everything that I could think of for him. I got a snail shell in an order of turbo's and go figure he chose that one n since it was lighter and he was so weak that all the turbos were just to heavy for him.
Sometimes these things just happen though and it is sad. Hang in there okay.
