Molting sac tells me nothing?

Molting sac tells me nothing?

My hermit crab has recently formed a molting sac. I was just wondering how long after forming the molting sac will he molt? He just made it yesterday :)

It's anyone's guess. Sometimes they'll have them for several weeks or months before digging.

I know this is a bit late... However, I have a crab that has a molt sack all the time. Whether she has recently molted or not. :S I know a frustrating. But like Calla said, it's anyone's guess.
