Molting sac tells me nothing?

My hermit crab has recently formed a molting sac. I was just wondering how long after forming the molting sac will he molt? He just made it yesterday

It's anyone's guess. Sometimes they'll have them for several weeks or months before digging.

I know this is a bit late... However, I have a crab that has a molt sack all the time. Whether she has recently molted or not. :S I know a frustrating. But like Calla said, it's anyone's guess.
