I just bought this crab from petco b/c it needs a new shell so badly but I am pretty sure it is so overgrown in its shell it is stuck. When you hold it up it doesn't come out at all. Is there anything I can do to help him!?!?

Leave him be and provide plenty of options for it.
Turbos are popular with PP's.

It isn't supposed to come out when you pick it up. It is probably scared/stressed.

No....he was trying to stretch out like when they're reaching for the ground if you hold them up....not actually come out.

They won't ever come all the way out though, even if the shell seems too small. Is it glued into the shell that you can tell at all?
They would rather be ripped in half than leave their shell.
What extra shells do you have on offer?

There are 10 shells around the right size, a variety of kinds & sizes
And no....don't see any reason it would be glued in. Its not a painted shell

Okay. As long as the shells are the shape and type popular with the species of crab you have, he'll change when ready.
