Worms?
Slim Jim, one of my oldest crabs, just came out of hiding after a while. I noticed that he (I know that it's in fact a he) had a tendril coming out from his shell. I know it wasn't one of his legs, as it moved like it was pure muscle with no bones/exoskeleton, and it was white and slimy. Is this something to be concerned about, such as a worm, or is he possibly looking for a mate?

Re: Worms?
The do have a long skinny strange looking appendage that they use to groom their gills. It was absaloutly freaking creepy the first time is saw it come out of one of my crabs shell but completely normal and seldom seen so perhaps it could be the answer. Otherwise I have no idea! I don't think they are host to any type of worm and I have no idea if they have ummm..."man parts" like that or not lol.
